MBTI

(Myers-Briggs Type Indicator)

I am sure if you work in a team, you are aware of the differences in that team, for example why do some people understand what you are trying to explain right away and others “just don’t get it” and of course the same is the other way too.

I undertook my Myers Briggs Assessment many years ago and found it extremely insightful, I learned loads about why I preferred certain ways of working, why I found some tasks and situations tricky and took more of my energy whilst other situations made me come alive.

Often better known as MBTI, which is short for Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, is a widely used personality assessment tool based on Carl Jung’s theories. It provides individuals insights into their preferences through exploring 16 categories within four dimensions.

The MBTI emphasizes that each individual has specific preferences in the way they view the world, and this assessment provides insight into the differences and similarities in people’s experiences of life.

There are 5 keys areas that stand out in terms of enhancing team working:

1. Communication style: Each personality type has its own preferred way of communicating.

2. Decision-making: Myers-Briggs types also provide insight into how individuals make decisions

3. Work preferences: Myers-Briggs types can shed light on individuals preferred work environments and task preferences.

4. Stress management: Different personality types also have distinct ways of dealing with stress.

5. Conflict resolution: Knowledge of personality types can aid in conflict resolution by creating awareness of potential clashes or misunderstandings.

If you are looking for a way to have an inciteful  and interactive session with your team  having a MBTI workshop will provide team members with personal insight for the rest of their working careers and from my experience enable teams to find ways to collaborate better around project delivery.

We run full and half days workshops tailored to the needs of your team.
