About Me

I’m a no-nonsense executive and resilience coach who’s here to help you come into your own

If you feel like you’ve got your sh*t sorted, well done! You don’t need me. You can carry on with your day.

But if, like 99% of people, you recognise that you’re not quite where you want to be, and you’re eager to…:

  • Improve your resilience and capacity for change, particularly in the workplace

  • Find more effective strategies to help you look after your health and wellbeing

  • Embrace new tools and techniques to improve your understanding of yourself

  • Transition into a leadership role with more confidence

  • Reduce feelings of anxiety and banish that pesky imposter syndrome for good

  • Get rid of the things that are holding you back from progress

  • Live life better connected for more fulfilling experiences

…Then I think it’s about time we had a conversation.

Where I’ve been

I’ve got three decades of experience in delivering coaching, mentoring, consultancy, project management and relationship management solutions to service providers of all shapes and sizes. From designing and implementing culture change programmes to working with leadership teams to improve their employees’ resilience and wellbeing, I’ve worked on many complex projects and created countless partnerships, pathways, and policies for my clients along the way that have enabled meaningful change (in laymen’s terms: got shit done).

I’ve spent a lot of time working with NHS Trusts and charitable organisations. These are typically challenging environments where personal advancement is a necessity, not an option – and stakeholder relationships are key to success. Alongside a series of demanding roles, I’ve had my own personal setbacks to deal with, too, including redundancy and a breast cancer diagnosis. So, I understand how tricky life can be at times, and I can very much relate to my clients’ struggles on a personal level, whether they are related to their performance at work or have been brought about by difficult circumstances at home.

Where I’m going

After more than 30 years of honing my skills as a programme director, a lead consultant, and a personal development specialist on a wide range of contracts, I’m now using my expertise to help ambitious individuals rewrite their narrative and develop the confidence and resilience to go after their goals.

I might call myself an executive coach, but I don’t just work with the C-suite. I can offer my coaching and consultancy services to anyone who feels called to do things differently. I’m here to support professionals at all levels who don’t want to be passive bystanders in their own lives; the people who have simply woken up one day and thought to themselves: there’s more to this, and I’m ready to find out what ‘more’ means to me.

The power of positive psychology

You’ll hear me mention positive psychology a lot, because it’s a principle that forms the foundation of my coaching style.

At its core, positive psychology is all about finding out what makes us function and perform at our best. It assumes that we, as individuals, want to lead the most meaningful and fulfilling lives possible – and, with this in mind, it provides us with the tools we need to enrich our experiences and improve our connections with the people around us.

Applying positivity isn’t always easy. Most of us suffer from negative self-talk. We’re very critical of ourselves and others, and we can be prone to falling into patterns of pessimism if we’re not careful. While it’s never going to be possible to feel ‘happy’ all the time – and actually, we wouldn’t want to be without some problems, because problems lead to growth! – there are lots of habits we can introduce into our daily lives that will eventually help us quieten down our inner cynics and encourage a rosier outlook. Together, we’ll explore how we can use positive psychology to your advantage and apply its science-backed, tried-and-tested techniques to your own situation.

Let’s get on with it
